Plenty of stock is rightfully placed on testing the air that goes into the high-pressure cylinders worn by firefighters. But what about the air in the spaces that house them while they wait to answer the call of duty? Safety Lab Plus has devised a way to assure that the air breathed in the living areas of fire houses, where they spend most of their time, is safe. Short for "decontamination", decon refers to the process of checking for harmful elements present on personal protective equipment and on the body. Because long-term exposure to hazardous contaminants has been linked to several serious medical issues, decon testing is of utmost importance at Safe Air Systems. We have designed a kit that carefully scrutinizes for contaminants and tests to several different standards.
